Parent Events Today & Tomorrow

Dear Families and Friends,

We’d like to remind you of two exciting events that you’re all invited to join us for today and tomorrow:

  • Erma Anderson – Parent Session: This week, international math consultant Erma Anderson is on campus to work with SCIS Pudong teachers. Erma is a recognized expert in how math teaching needs to change from a procedural understanding of steps and equations to a more developed conceptual understanding of math topics. The conceptual understanding of math is the foundation of the PYP, MYP and DP math program. In addition to working with our teachers, Erma will be offering a parent presentation on Wednesday April 19th, 2:00pm-3:00pm. We invite you all parents to join us for this informative session.
  • Paths to University Success Workshop @ The Emerald – This Thursday, April 20 is our first in a series of university workshops that all parents are invited to attend. This week’s topic is: University Admissions in USA and Canada. Join us from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Emerald Club Restaurant. Please see the attached poster for more details or email mkelly@scis-china.org to RSVP.
